About

Growing up on the Jersey shore I had two passions — Pizza and Yankee Baseball. In 2003, I sold my home on the Navasink River and left my job as a lithographer in the metro area to pursue my other two passions — the Green Mountains and skiing. As only destiny could dictate, it was here that I reconnected with an old friend from the shore (James) after 13 years absence. In the years since, James has gone on to open his first pizzeria and develop his product: Jimmz Pizza. Meanwhile, I was producing one of Vermont’s finest products as a Mix Maker at Ben & Jerry’s. After seven years of working for a multi-national Dutch Conglomerate it was time for me to get back to my roots! I had a dream. James had an idea. And after several beers and not seven years, the idea of Pizza in the Valley was developed! A locally owned, New York style pizzeria, specific to the Mad River Valley, that offers a delicious product. Drawing on my life on the Jersey shore, I have tried to establish a collection of some of my fondest memories, built around my favorite passions and unique to the Mad River Valley. — Don

Dining

Inside and outside seating in the shadow of one of Vermont’s greatest ski mountains. We can accommodate couples, families and small groups in our bright, windowed dining room with a view of Sugarbush. Or, weather permitting, enjoy our picnic and café tables outside off our small deck.

Activities

Yeah we ski…and bike, and paddle, and ride. We love this Valley! We love disc golf too. So much so, we made our own little mini course outside! Bring your discs, grab a slice, a $2.75 Pint and practice your short game.
